I think this might be the first person I've ever known to be murdered...
My old roommate Brittany's dad was murdered Tuesday. He was shot multiple times by... his son in law? I hadn't remembered that Brittany had a sister, but I think I vaguely remember that now. I messaged her with my condolences and to offer the only real thing I could possibly offer to her and her family, which would be to sing at his service at no charge. I want to try to get a pro bono accompanist too. Although only a small part of the expense, if I can at least help to get the service music totally free, it's at least something real, and palpable, and useful, and personal.
