So, I'm on the last day of week 5 of p90x. I decided to start doubles instead of lean for this phase, and so this week, I haven't lost any weight, but instead put on 2 pounds. Now, I know that it's because I switched to the harder program, which means I'm just putting on muscle faster than I'm losing fat... but... I don't want to do that. I think I'm gonna go back to lean and see if I can get off this plateau.
I dunno... I think I gain muscle really easily. The weights programs are, for the most part, easier for me than cardio. Even when I go to failure, that's easier for me than being out of breath. Soooo, I'm gonna focus on cardio. Maybe I'll just make my own program.... lean doubles. Add cardio to cardio. That'll probably do the trick, lol. And of course there is significant muscle building in the lean program, too, just fewer days of that, and more days of cardio and core.
I know it's less about weight loss and more about getting in shape... but I'm 15 pounds overweight... until I get back into normal range... damn straight it's about weight loss! I wanna see the numbers drop!
