Since I'm bored and I don't think much will change between now and the next five days, I'm gonna fill this out again.

That 2006 Thing

1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?
 I graduated from college, I broke up with somebody, there's probably more, but I can't think of any at the moment.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't remember my resolutions for this year but I have already made five for next year.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Keri and Dave had a baby girl

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No.

5. What countries did you visit?
Still just the United States.

6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
A real full-time job, a dog.

7. What dates from 2006 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
April 14 - The day I met Steve H and Eric B
May 5 - Amazing night with the girls and Steve H
May 6 - The day I walked in commencement ceremonies
October 6 - The day I met Eric
November 9 - The day Eric called it off
December 23 - Amanda's wedding

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
My Bachelor's Degree!  aka: Graduating from college!

9. What was your biggest failure?
Failing FCE 411 the first time.  My entire relationship with Gilly (I didn't say I regretted it, but I wasn't fair to him.)

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Just a few bumps and bruises from work and a cold here and there.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
I didn't really buy anything big this year.

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
Everybody did something that deserved celebration...Katie and Megan graduated, Amanda got married, Cat started grad school, Megan didn't drop classes...etc.

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled?
Mine, mostly.

14. Where did most of your money go?
The bar...probably Whiskey Barrel and groceries.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
The Josh Gracin concert, Labor Day weekend, and my first date with Eric.

16. What songs will always remind you of 2006?

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
- i. happier or sadder? Happier...but still needing change.
- ii. richer or poorer? Richer

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Studying so that I actually could have graduated the first time.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Wasting time online or doing whatever.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I spent Christmas Eve at Jon & Kelly's with the family and then Day at home with mom, dad, Uncle Paul, Meredith, Eric, and Sara.

21. Who did you spend the most time on the phone with?
Probably Ande or Eric

22. What LJ users did you meet for the first time?
None

23. How many one-night stands?
I suppose now you can say none.

24. What was your favourite TV program?
Grey's Anatomy

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Not really.

26. What was the best book you read?
I don't think I read any this year.  It's sad I know.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
The All-American Rejects

28. What did you want and get?
My degree

29. What did you want and not get?
A dog (although I may get one as soon as May)

30. What was your favourite film of this year?
X-Men 3 and Pirates of the Carribean 2

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 24 this year and we had a party and I kinda threw a temper tantrum.  (Yeah, I'm mature like that.)  Then on the actual day we went to the Whiskey Barrel and I rode the bull in a tube top.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
If I had behaved more maturely and respectably in certain circumstances.  And if things had worked out with Eric.  ;)

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2006?
Jeans and t-shirt.

34. What kept you sane?
Friends.

34b. What kept you from losing even more marbles?
Music, Reese, both Erics.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Gary Allan and Josh Gracin

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Still the War in Iraq

37. Who did you miss?
I miss Marcella and I honestly kinda miss Stephe.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Steve Hogle, Eric Bell, Eric Boffing, Nicole McCandless, Meg Big (okay, met her before, but didn't get to know her until this summer)

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006:
Lying is bad.  You can't live your life trying to make other people happy.  You have to be selfish sometimes.
