Yummy treats

The PTA for Ginny's school is hosting a Teacher Appreciation luncheon.  I haven't been able to be as involved in the PTA as I would like so I volunteered to make 3 desserts.  I had hoped for 4 or 5 but with the school cancellation (and the luncheon cancellation) and then the return to school (and the luncheon) I wasn't able to make as much as I had hoped.  I love baking but it's the eating that gets to me.  This way I have an outlet.

Anyway, I made Panda cupcakes (the school mascot), chocolate chip cookies (Grandma Virginia's recipe), and rice krispie balls with sprinkles.

I wish I could say I came up with the panda face idea on my own but I have to give credit to a woman on some website I visited.  She made these for her kids' birthday party.  I modified it slightly, using frosting for the nose and mouth (she used cookie pieces) but I think they came out well.  I may have to make them again.

I will be dropping them all off at the organizers' house this afternoon, after nap time is done.

Now it off to a quick cat nap for me.  I finally managed to send off the twins' birthday pictures yesterday and today.  A few will go out tomorrow.  The really important ones left the house yesterday and today (you know who you are).  Only 3 months after their birthday.  At least they were sent.  I didn't get to bed until midnight but they are gone.
