Ginny at camp

A frustrating day.  Not necessarily a horrid one just annoying.  Virginia is off at a camp in Colorado from June 15 to July 11th.  We didn't pack allergy medicine because they required me to send a doctors note for over the counter medicine.  I didn't notice this requirement until the day before she left so I chose to leave it out.  Big mistake.

Virginia wrote home and said her allergies were really bad at Cheley. I spoke with their nurse last Thursday and she was going to give her Zyrtec. So I then tried to get hold of the nurse again. Not the easiest thing to do at a remote camp. Via an intermediary, I was told to send medicine. That didn't help since I wasn't sure if the Zyrtec was working. Should I send Allegra and/or Flonase? No idea since no one replied. I called the number she called me on last week and left a message. No response. Went forward and tried to renew her Flonase. Turns out she had no refills and they had to contact the doctor.  An hour plus went by and no response so I called the doctor.  They said they already did it.  Went to pharmacist.  They haven't received a response.  Clock is ticking since I have to mail this stuff to them and the post office closes at 6 pm.  I finally gave up, bought some generic Zyrtec and left without the prescription.

Then we realize that Natalie was supposed to go to gymnastics at 4:30.  It was 4:25 and we were still at the store.  Grr.  Decided not to try to go home, change, and get there 30 minutes late.  Finish up at that store, head to Kroger.  As I am opening Sam's door on the van, the handle snaps off in my hand.  I just sit there, staring at it.  I then toss it into the back of the van.

Still no call from the nurse at camp or the pharmacist telling me that the prescription was refilled.  And it is now far too late to get a package out.  I am just annoyed right now.  With Chris' car having no a/c, an oil leak, and the radio stolen and my tire needing to be replaced, I did not need to add broken door handle to the car list.  Oh and the antenna on my van is wobbling because the molding around it broke off.  And I now have visions of my daughter being at camp, miserable, because I chose not to send her medicine.  Just a frustrating day.
