Phew
The first week of school is almost over. I will go to pick up Virginia in 5 minutes and then go to pick up the twins 45 minutes later. It has gone more or less the way I expected it to. The twins are definitely tired by the end of the day. I have been mostly successful at putting them to bed at 7:30. Virginia doesn't object. All 3 of my kids have been/were good nappers. Sam seems to be affected the most, as I feared he would be.
We hosted a friend of Virginia's for 2 days after school. Her dad usually picked her up from school but was going out of town for a few days. Her mom gets out of work at 6 pm so they needed someone to watch her for a few hours. The girls have been begging for a play date for a long time so I thought it would be perfect. They had a lot of fun together. The twins enjoyed playing as well. I think having her over made them play harder than they normally would so they were extra tired by Thursday night. Sam had a melt down at Virginia's school open house. I put them to bed as quickly as I could last night. They seemed like their normal selves this morning.
Well, I am off. Time to pick up the girlie.
