This is fantastic, thank you so much. We had a BBC B when I was younger - but we mostly played Repton and Snapper on it. And games my Dad had spent three years typing in the code for. And I love that the Romania one is from a real actual genuine pro-Romanian drink. :)

Oh, my mum will love you forever for liking Repton. XD She always complained that Élite was too boring and could we not play Repton instead?... And I remember the games you had to type in yourself! What was that one called? Escape From Silver Mountain?... My brother's still probably got the book somewhere.

Yep, they mixed it just for the Euros! Leading me to contemplate, yet again, how hungry you can end up if you support a team whose colours include blue. XD Horrible blue food colouring gets everywhere! And, if you wanted a black-and-blue-striped Inter cake, black icing too. Euck. I suppose you could make a "natural" Inter pie with bilberries and dark chocolate; or raspberries for Milan. Hmmm...

Repton was the first computer game I really loved - simple but colourful, with a catchy little tune and lots of logic problems. Repton 1 and 2 (I think) were very frustrating because you couldn't save your game and had to start at the beginning again. Repton 3 had 3 sets of 12 games at ascending levels - it was ace. It also had a design screen - you could go in and redesign the Repton character and the hazards. cheryl_bites was really, really good at this! I loved playing her versions - she's been honing her graphics skills ever since.

Our whole family loved it - my parents and both my sisters, there were frequent fights over whose turn it was. My Dad actually got a PC version from Superior Software a couple of years ago, so we can once again enjoy shoving rocks, crushing monsters and running like blazes away from sprites. (We all failed at making our own levels, they were always way too easy. *g*)
