There is literally more skating on television and the internet over the next two weeks than I am physically capable of watching, even if I don't attempt to watch Canadian Nationals on CBC (which I am going to TRY, because their men's competition has more drama than a soap opera and it hasn't even started yet.
Let's not talk about how much I hate the US Nationals schedule with a fiery passion, and not JUST because I'll have to miss the free dance/ladies free due to work. (I am way more depressed about missing the free dance, fyi.)
Friday:
2:00-4:00pm - Canadian ladies' and pairs short on CBC
4:30pm - US pairs short on IceNetwork
9:45pm - US men's short on IceNetwork
midnight-1am - Canadian men's short on CBC
Saturday:
1:00-2:00pm - Canadian pairs free on CBC
2:00-3:30pm - US pairs long on IceNetwork (first two groups)
4:00-6:00pm - Canadian original dance and ladies free on CBC
4:30-6:00pm - US pairs long on NBC
Sunday:
1:30-4:00pm - US men's long on IceNetwork (first two groups)
3:00-4:00pm - Canadian free dance on CBC
4:30-6:00pm - US men's long on NBC
8:00-10:00pm - Canadian men's long on CBC
NEXT Thursday:
1:30pm - US compulsory dance on IceNetwork
10:30pm - US ladies' short on IceNetwork
NEXT Friday:
9:00pm - US original dance on IceNetwork
NEXT Saturday:
2:40-4:30pm - US free dance on IceNetwork (first two groups)
3:00-6:00pm - US free dance on NBC
7:00-9:00pm - US ladies' long on IceNetwork (first two groups)
9:00-11:00pm - US ladies' long on NBC
NEXT Sunday:
9:00-11:00pm - US exhibitions
I would do the math on how many hours of skating that is, but I think it would just be depressing...because you know I'm going to watch most of it.
On an unrelated note, HIMYM tonight was spectacular, was it not?
