OneShot: Be With You, Part 2
Anisha spent too long in front of the mirror. She didn’t know why, she was only going to meet a friend, wasn’t she?
She was about ten minutes too late, walking fast to the park where they were supposed to meet each other. She tested all kinds of outfits until she decided on a quite normal look for the first date.
Ah, date!? It wasn’t a date though! Just a meeting between friends.
She saw Yunho sitting on a bench. Waiting for her. Her heart skipped a beat. When he noticed her, he walked towards Anisha to greet her.
Anisha stood right in front of him, uncertain what to do now. She was pretty nervous. Why didn’t she think earlier of this situation?
But before she could think any further .. she felt Yunho’s lips kissing her. Soft and loving. And she didn’t even try to push him away, instead she answered the kiss. Her arms lay around his neck, her eyes were closed.
Yunho broke the kiss and reached into his pocket. He held a little box in his hands and gave it to Anisha.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, Anisha”, he whispered.
“Valentine’s Day?”
“Today’s Valentine’s Day, you didn’t know? I was so happy because you wanted to meet me on Valentine’s Day!”
“I’m sorry .. I haven’t thought of it! I don’t have something for you …”
“It’s okay. I’ll be satisfied with another kiss. Are you okay with that?”
She smiled at him. She felt the tension as their faces slowly approached. And she felt the sensation as their lips touched. She enjoyed the kiss. It felt right. And the butterflies in her stomach were there …

Shige was walking around with his dog, frustrated. He wanted to invite his girlfriend into an expensive restaurant for Valentine’s Day but she seemed to have completely forgotten about that special day for lovers. She wouldn’t have said that she had to help in the house if had known about Valentine’s Day. She was still a romantic person, he knew that. He would just invite her over this evening, to show her his surprise ..
Shige walked on with his dog Nana, lost in his thoughts. Suddenly, Nana pulled more than before and Shige just followed her to a park.
He was about to walk in the park but then he noticed a kissing pair near the entrance and turned around smiling. He had gone a few steps when he turned his head again to watch over his shoulder. He felt like he knew this girl …
And then it hit him. Anisha! Why .. was she kissing another guy?

Anisha pulled slowly away and smiled happily at Yunho.
“Thank you”, she aspirated and began to unwrap her present from Yunho when she heard a familiar voice behind her. She thought she had recognized the voice but she didn’t want to believe it.
Slowly and afraid of the truth, she turned her head just to see Shige walking towards them. She had never seen him this angry. Anisha couldn’t move. She just stared at Shige.
Finally, Shige stood in front of them, catching his breath.
“What .. the fuck .. are you do .. -ing here!?”
“Do you know him?” Yunho seemed to be confused and looked at Anisha.
“I’m her boyfriend, just for you to know”, nagged Shige before he looked at Anisha.
“Is this the reason why you didn’t have time?”
She kept silent, looking at the ground.
“Fine, Anisha. I thought, you wouldn’t betray me ever. But I was wrong, ne?
Why did you do this!?”
Shige grabbed her shoulders and shook her. Again and again. Anisha could see the tears in his eyes. The world seemed to have stopped. She felt Shige’s cold hands on her shoulders. But the only thing she noticed were the tears in his eyes. She let go of the present from Yunho in her hand. Listening to the sound when it touched the ground.
Yunho grabbed Shige’s arms and pulled him away from Anisha, harsh.
“Don’t touch her, got me?”, he shouted.
Anisha saw Shige’s hand. He formed it slowly into a fist before he striked out to hit his opponent. The next seconds were too fast for Anisha to realize.
Shige punched Yunho hard in the face and he fell down. Shige just ran away with his dog, not caring anymore. And Anisha stood between them, not knowing what to do.
“Shige!” She called him. But he didn’t turn around. He just ran away.
Yunho looked up to her. Blood was dropping slowly off his nose.
“Why, Anisha?”
“…”
“Just tell me why!”
“I’m sorry!” With the last words, she turned around and ran after Shige.
Leaving Yunho. Leaving his present.

Anisha stood in front of Shige’s door. Afraid. She didn’t know what to do. Did he run home? And if so .. what could she say to him? I’m sorry? That wouldn’t be enough.
With all her courage, she reacher for her key in her bag and unlocked the door. She opened it and .. stopped. Rose petals on the floor. A pretty small trace led somehwere. Anisha closed the door and walked on. She picked up a petal and smelled it. Fresh. Sweet. Love.
The trace led her to the living room. She opened the door slowly .. and her heart skipped another beat. There was an arch, covered with rose petals, over and over. She stood in front of a great heart out of candles. And on the arch was another heart out of cardboard.
Happy Valetine’s Day, Honey.
I love you more than everything on this world.
Please, stay with me forever and
Don’t ever leave me. I love you.
Anisha broke down and cried. She couldn’t help but cry. She couldn’t leave a man who loved her this much, could she? That wasn’t fair …

Shige knew that Anisha was at his home. He had heard the door. He watched her all the time while she discovered the way of rose petals he had spread for her. Tears were streaming down his face when he saw her breaking down in front of his Valetine’s present. He wanted to hug her so badly. To cheer her up. But it wasn’t his fault that she was feeling so bad.
He walked slowly towards her. Anisha was kneeling on the ground, crying. He walked next to her, leaning against door case. He thought Anisha didn’t notice him until he suddenly heard her voice.
“Why Shige? …
Why did you do all this for me?”
“Because I love you.” Shige tried hard to hide the trembling of his voice. He wanted to cry but he told himself to stay strong in front of his crying .. girlfriend.
“But .. y-you and .. this girl …”
“Girl?”
“I saw you together Shige. You looked so happy!” Anisha looked up to him.
“The only girl I was meeting was the florist …”
Anisha was speechless. She had been jealous of a florist? Of the woman who had planned all this for her with Shige? She felt so stupid. She should’ve asked Shige instead of thinking of him as a betrayer.
“I .. I-I’m sorry, Shige … really…”
“…”
Anisha stood slowly up and faced Shige. She looked in his eyes.
“Will you ever be able to forgive me?”
Shige couldn’t help but hugged her. After all her faults, he still loved her so much. She hurt him but he could bear it. He just wanted to be with her. He felt that Anisha was crying against his shoulder and stroked her hair.
“Everything will be fine, honey. We .. can do it.”
And then he kissed her.

“What do you think about this yellow?”
“…”
“Anisha?”
“Oh, yes?”
“I asked you something!”
“I’m sorry … I didn’t listen for a while!” Anisha looked apologizing at Shige and tried to smile. It was hard for her to pretend that nothing changed. Shige acted like noting happened and tried to live on as before but Anisha couldn’t. Something inside her changed. Something wasn’t right.
“This one”, she said, pointing to a shade of yellow because Shige was deciding about colouring a room.
“I’m going to take a walk with Nana, okay?”
“Yeah. Just go”, said Shige smiling and worked on.
Anisha took the leash of Nana and went outside with the dog.
“Hey Nana! We’re going to a park. How about that?”

Anisha sat down on the bench. Looking around in the park. Here did it happen. She wondered what happened to Yunho. She hadn’t seen him since that day. Well, since two days. She looked on the earth, trying to imagine Yunho doing some things in his house but she failed. If he missed her? Just a little bit? If he thought of her? What if he didn’t? It shouldn’t bother her then, right?
Anisha got lost in her thoughts until her eyes cought something on the ground. It was a little, blue shining box. She recognized it. She walked slowly towards it and picked it up out of the dirt. Yunho’s present box.
She hadn’t been able to look inside the box and reveal her present. She sat again down and started to unrwap her present another time. She just looked at the box for a few minutes. She was too afraid to know what was inside. But finally, she couldn’t stand it anymore and opened the box slowly. It seemed to her like the world stopped as she brought out a diamond ring.
It was simple but still made with love. Anisha put the ring on her finger and looked at it in the sunlight. She felt tears in her eyes while she remembered the short time with Yunho. Why did she miss him?

“Ne, Anisha?”
“Yeah.” Anisha smiled at him, trying to give him the feeling that she’s happy.
“What did I just say?”
“What?”
Shige sighed. “Am I talking to a wall, honey? Why don’t you listen to me?”
“I’m sorry”, said Anisha looking very pitiful. Shige was sure she was honestly sorry.
“You .. have a ring?”, asked Shige as he noticed it on Anisha’s finger.
“Yes! It’s pretty cool, isn’t it? I bought it myself.”
You never buy jewel yourself, Anisha.
“It’s his ring, right?”
“I just said that I bought it myself, didn’t I?”
“It’s his ring, Anisha, right?”
“…”
Anisha nodded slowly, looking to the ground, ashamed. “I’m sorry.”
“Go to him.”
“…”
“Look for him!”
“What?”
“I want you to be happy, Anisha. And I’m oviously not the one who’s able to make you happy. So .. please, go and find him, okay?”
“Are .. you serious? What are you going to do then, Shige?”
“It’ll be okay. I have Koyama, ne. I’ll survive this somehow.”
“Shige? You are too good to be true, you know this? I want to thank you so much. How can I thank you?”
“Get happy.”
“I promise this to you!”

Anisha walked towards the park again. She wanted to call Yunho from there to be undisturbed and calm. But when she entered the park, she saw someone sitting on the bench. And she recognized him from the first moment.
Her ring sparkled in the sunshine and Yunho turned around to find out where the light came from.
When he saw Anisha, he stood up, turned around and tried to walk away.
“Yunho!”
He turned around and looked at her but didn’t say a thing.
“Yunho … I’m really really sorry.”
“What do you expext now Anisha? That I’ll forgive you now? I can’t. You don’t even know my surname yet you’re bettraying me! Or more … betraying him.
Even if I forgive you, I can’t trust you anymore, can I?”
“I can’t say more than ‘I’m sorry’ Yunho. And I really am. I just didn’t expect you to appear in my life. I .. I broke up with Shige. I realized that I have stronger feelings for you. Even if you don’t want to be with me, I’m happy I told you my true feelings now… I just wanted you to know.”
“You .. are wearing my ring.”
“Oh .. “
Anisha looked at her hand, at the sparkling ring.
“I .. can give it back to you, if you want …”
Yunho walked over to her.
“No .. it’s okay. It suits you. Just as simple and beautiful as you are…”
Yunho managed to smile a little. And Anisha couldn’t help it .. and leaned forward to kiss Yunho. She noticed his resistance during the kiss but his lips were so soft .. she couldn’t stop. And Yunho gave faster in than she thought.
He broke the kiss and looked at her, stroked a bang out of her face.
“Don’t think that I’m so easy to get”, whispered he into Anisha’s ear before they intertwined their fingers and started to walk together through the park.
“How about a new beginning?”, he asked slowly.
“Sounds good”, answered Anisha smiling.
Yunho turned around and looked in her eyes before he approached and kissed her again.
