Admittedly, I have been depressed the past few days, of which I can mostly blame my sickness and lack of sleep because of it. My sore throat gets so bad that it wakes me up in the middle of the night, and since I was traveling the days before I fell sick, I didn't get much sleep from that either (and dinners were mostly close to midnight... URGH! No wonder I fell sick!).
To top it all off, on the day I got sick, I discovered my laptop couldn't load, and I met a friend of mine who works with computers to help me find out what's wrong who then told me that my laptop's hardware is dying, and that I either have to buy a new hardware, which would be pricey, or just buy a new laptop.
With the fact that I'm still paying for my car loan and that I'm trying to save up as much as I can for traveling and possibly moving out, this news was far from welcoming. So I felt even more depressed than usual. My only time I can be online and being able to write anything would have to be at work.
You would think with me having "free time" at night would warrant me working on my cosplay for Comic Fiesta that's happening tomorrow, but the idea of working on the costume made me feel even more depressed for some reason... (probably cause I was doing it alone? And I need my laptop for reference on the designs)
So out of this all, guess what made me feel a bit better?
Planning a freaking HiruMamo MMV. -____-
I haven't worked on any kind of Music Video in YEARS. And you would think that a lack of laptop would hinder me even more. But using my phone to look for music is a lot easier than using it as a reference for pictures. With my home's WiFi, I checked up on a song I had planned to use as an MMV for a long while now, but I dropped it cause I thought it was ridiculously cheesy, yet for some reason, sounds perfect today (I'm in the mood for cheese?! How surprising... XD). Pulled out my old notes I had on it (dunno how many years ago I wrote those notes... but I'm glad I still keep the notebook where I write ridiculous ideas in!), and began to write and plan the scenes to go with the music and such. I don't have the manga with me (kinda lost all my ES21 mangas after leaving for Aussie, passed it to a friend but she never gave it to me back), so I was really basing this on memory... and at the end of it all, I kinda felt satisfied.
And even more eager to get a laptop so I can work on it. -___- Oh yeah, sure, self. Be willing to spend money just so you can make more fanworks on your favourite pairing, why don't you?
I really don't know what am I going to do with my whole laptop issue, I'll see how things go after Comic Fiesta is over, and then I'll figure out what to do from there. But hey, at least I now have something to look forward to once I finally get a working laptop! Now if only I have the time.... -___-
In other news, I was in Singapore a few days ago to watch WICKED THE MUSICAL!!! I'll talk about it more once all the hecticness dies down but I must say... I LOVED THE MUSICAL AND WOULD SO WATCH IT AGAIN!!! If I were rich. DX
