Dreamstage Korea!

Okay, I know... I'm not a HUGE fan of K-Pop. I like listening to it, I like dancing to it, and that's all I need. I'm not dedicated to any K-Pop group in particular, I just tend to follow what's big currently, listen to it, and just enjoy it for the heck of it.

So me dancing a flashmob involving K-Pop songs may sound absurd, but I think most people who know me KNOWS I just can't say no to this...

Dreamstage Korea is a global event where K-Pop fans gather and participate in a flashmob in their country, and it's for organizers of K-Pop groups to also figure out where they should have their concerts next. While again, I don't have a particular group I'd really like to see in concert, I can't say no to dancing!

Even so, I REAAAALLY thought I wouldn't be able to make it for this, cause it would require learning 16 dances (only the chorus parts) in a span of a week. I am NOT kidding. I only found out about this last week. So of course, my initial though was, "I won't be able to make it". Out of all the songs listed, I only knew 4. And since I'm a working girl, the idea of having to learn 12 more dances just seemed impossible.

Yet even with that knowledge... I started practicing. I'm not sure why, cause I'll be the only one among my friends doing this, but I really wanted to join in and learn the dances. I didn't send in my registration cause I still thought I wouldn't be able to make it... but as the deadline reached, I had learnt 4 more dances, most of which I practiced at night or continuously watched the videos at work. Which means I already knew 8 dances.

So I thought, "Why not?", sent in my registration and am now prepping myself for the flashmob tomorrow. Overall, I think I can at least ROUGHLY do all the dances by tomorrow... except one, which is the first dance for the flashmob. I may have to learn it with the others tomorrow, or opt out of it somehow. I guess I'll have to see how things go tomorrow.

Whatever it is, I am pretty excited to be a part of a flashmob once again! And I learnt a lot of new awesome K-Pop songs to check out too. ^^ My current obsession is B2ST (or Beast, which I would much rather spell them XD) which I've heard for so long, but never really got into their music until I heard their song "Fiction", which I will be dancing to (and it was a lot of fun, learning this dance!).

Wish me luck that I at least don't make a fool of myself tomorrow! @___@ *nervous*
