Indeed I am in a good mood! Today has just been going well thus far. For one, my large and scary phone bill has now been corrected and I am paying a much more reasonable rate rather than the horror that greeted me when I got the bill last week. I also got a mystery check from the University, probably due to me transferring out of one course and into another. It's not a huge amount. Suffice it to say that it was big enough that a happy dance was in order but not big enough to do the "strip off clothing and wave it like you just don't care" kind of happy dance. Someday, I may actually get a cheque big enough that I would actually do that but until then, I'm going to have to settle for smaller, clothed celebrations where I can get them. :P
In other news, midterms are now over and already we're being told that we have to watch out for finals. I guess that makes sense. Most of my last classes are in the first week of December which, seeing as we're now almost half way through the first week of November, should promise to come up far too quickly at best. I'm going to try to make good on getting everything and anything I can done ahead of time before it becomes a crunch of horror that usually comes with the end of the year. Oh school. How I didn't remember that I don't miss this aspect of things.
And finally, during my design class this morning, the teacher in that class brought up something ridiculously great and I can't help but share it with you guys. We're supposed to be designing posters for International Human Rights Day and I told him that I'm not exactly one for designing things aimed at kids. This led to a discussion on what kids do and what they like and so on and he ended telling me a great story. One of his profs, years before, had been teaching a workshop with a bunch of kids and just to get them thinking, he asked them a question to see what they would come up with. He asked them the following:
What would you feed an electric dog?
Anyone wanna take a stab at this? If it were you, what would you feed an electric dog? I'm interested to hear what a bunch of adults will say because some of the answers the kids came up with were ridiculously awesome. And yes, I will share what they said eventually but I wanna hear what you guys have to say first.
So yeah, aside from the fact that my Kitty is sick, I'm happy to report that today has been a pretty stellar kind of day. Here's hoping yours is going pretty damn well too! :)
