Recommend me non-depressing shows and other media?
Current North Carolina politics are making me feel a terrible combination of sad, angry, and helpless.*
I don't know if anyone still reads this blog, but if you do and happen to see this post, recommend me your favorite and mostly non-depressing books, video games, television shows (I am fine with foreign dramas and anime), and other entertainment?
*For those who aren't in the know and want to be in the know, this post on Medium is a pretty good and concise summary. Basically - the NC legislature is districted such that Republicans form a supermajority even though it should be a competitive purple state, Republicans in charge continue to do things to cement their power (like passing voting restrictions that mostly target black people and other Democrat-leaning groups), the Republicans in charge also do other things that are just generally shitty (see HB2) and now that we finally achieved a small victory (replacing our crappy governor with a better, more liberal one), they're pre-emptively taking some of his power away.
