the teaching chronicles - my dear colleagues-turned-friends :)
I'm so thankful for this bunch of colleagues who have made my last few weeks even better than they already are! It's damn fun to find people on the same wavelength as you in a cold strange (initially) working environment. I mean, there are bimbz too?! How lovely is that! I love bimbos! We can enter a mall and shriek at the same time - how funny is that hahaha :DD This last week has been the MOST enjoyable week in all my weeks there, maybe it's because the term is ending also, and everyone is not feeling the stress anymore!!
I was touched a few times today I swear I almost cried (since I was in such a fragile state for awhile). Cindy, or B (a la Blair Waldorf), bought me kopi this morning, cos she knew I was craving for some caffeine/martini/beer for a long time. When I messaged her to tell her to please help me buy coffee since I had first period lesson, she replied and said, "Already did so, babe!" How sweeet right? (: I swear the kopi-si kosong worked wonders.
And then I was dumped with a relief lesson to take but I already made plans. I remember mentioning my dread to one of my colleagues, and then out of the blue, 2 of them came to me and said they will take it for me! !!! Oh man, I was really very moved at that instant, cos I didn't even ask them to help me cos I didn't want to bother them. Seriously, today made me believe there's still some humanity in humans.
Have been spending quite some time with them recently, and I can't wait for Butter and Mambo nights in June already! Hooooray! :)
