#8 Steak, Sweet Potatoes & Slaw
Mmmm. Unlike yesterday's dinner, tonight's went perfectly.
Cole Slaw - I've made this a bunch of times. Fresh farmshare cabbage. Dressing: one part mayo, one part greek yogurt, generous daubs of dill, pepper, apple juice, and apple cider vinegar.
Steak - Porterhouse. Cooked until it was barely warm in the middle. mmmm.
Sweet Potatoes- Trying a new recipe from vorpalbunny. ringrose, who doesn't like sweet potatoes agreed they were an acceptable side dish. Sauté onions, oregano, thyme, and rosemary in a bunch of oil. Add diced sweet potatoes into a heavy pot, cook them until done.
All of the main ingredients are local, too. The first time in a while I've managed to do that.
And we have the bread from Pigs Fly we didn't have last night :)
