So... Still alive (good thing). Quck update:

No, I didn't get the Memphis job with Solae
However, I am going to Alabama for 10 weeks this summer! I'm going to Auburn University to participate in their REU program. I was so shocked/happy/stressed when I found out that they accepted me. Maybe I'm smarter than I think... nah. I'm fairly certain that I will be working in the bioapplications of clay nanoparticle doped polymers. Particularly in their use as a moisture/oxygen barrier for the packaging of foods. I have this vision of sitting around in a lab coat poking at cookies and sticking them in expensive equipment(which amuses me to no end). Plus, they're paying me $450 a week with free room and unlimited food. w00t
Meteor and I are going to "officially" be living together next year. We're moving into a duplex with my roommates downstairs. So, right now we're trying to figure out how to get moved and settled in befor I leave on th 27th. Meteor also starts summer school June 5th. I actually know the people who will be moving into this house, and they keepon bugging me about when we'll be moving out. So I ask the girl who's place we're moving into, and she doesn't know when she'll be moving out (she's pretty flaky). This puts me in a bit of a jam, and it makes me want to scream and pull down drywall.
In other news, next year some BioChemE friends and I will be working in the mircobiology lab on a OURE. We're going to test silver doped glasses and polymers for their biofilm resistance. That should be fun, and maybe our work will help it get introduced into medical devices. Catheters that won't cause bladder infections, yay!

That's pretty much what I've been up to this semester. Trying to stay on top of all my courses and work and the ChemE car (which made it to nationals). I need to go work on some MatLAB code for the final thermo project now.

^ rereading that made me realize what a silly little scientific bore I have become. Pretty much the onle books I've been reading other than textbooks have been Heinlein and birth/midwifery. I need to fix that.
