still here
Dear Livejournal,
It seems you are still here after so many long months. Will I come back to you, after having left you for the gleaming newness of facebook? It seems likely. I feel I should apologize to you, though your being an inaminate non-object makes the apology a little unneccesary.
This journal was started about two years ago, after moving to Germany to study Opera at the Hochschule fuer Musik in Cologne. Now, two years later, I am again moving, this time to Lisbon Portugal to start a two year contract with the Teatro Sao Carlos.
What will it be like building yet another life? Learning yet another language? The thought of leaving this second homeland is truly unbearable. Yet finally realizing my dream of being a full time opera singer is simply incredible.
One more week and two days in Germany. Ich werd' dich total vermissen.
