memorial day weekend was a lot of fun - it was great to see everyone and to catch up. only made it to the festival one day, but the two afterparties i attended were really fun and i loved just seeing everyone hanging out. and bumping into people randomly outside music events, it's so nice to do that and it definately doesn't happen like it did in college. eric came up one day and i hadnt seen him in almost two years so it was good to catch up. i'm all about detroit, again. well, i guess i've been into it for awhile but i think i'll be hyping it up more. the next few weekends are going to be super busy with this weekend's events and my brother's final concert, graduation and graduation party. got my hair cut too, so that's fun. my stylist thinks i should go red, but i'm not sure. i've never had my hair professionally dyed and i worry that it's too harsh. and that i'll look even more like molly ringwald. which i guess is fine, but i'm just not sure. not that i havent done the red thing before...
also finished an interesting book called 'snow' by orhan pamuk or something to that effect. i thought it was really good and talked about stuff i didnt really know a lot about, esp. in terms of ethnic relations in turkey and the political stuff. still thinking about it.
