Highlight of the summer
Now is the time that I wait for all year long. It's become almost the entire point of my summer for the past oh....9 years or so.
Camp. :-D
Odd how a couple of paragraphs changed my life so much. Cause that's how it started. We saw a little article in an ichthyosis newsletter, and I knew immeditately that I wanted to go, which surprised my parents. And I've only missed one summer since. Before they started the teen camp, there was an awkward gap between the camper and counselor ages. I hated that summer. But that first week changed me a lot, even though I couldn't see it (my dad vouches though). And now it's like another family for me, another home. Whenver I have to write an essay for an application, I almost always end up writing about camp somehow. I just want to share it with everyone I know, because it means so much to me.
Just two weeks. I think they'll last me until next summer.
