Ok, so I'm not in much of a mood to update this thing, but I figured I better let people know I'm alive.
My parents visit here went very well--I swear, my parents and his parents never stopped talking when they were in the same room together, which is probably a good sign. His mum said it felt like they'd known them forever. So how lucky is that? Compatible families. Awesome.
I just got back with Ash from a short trip to Vancouver Island. Absolutely gorgeous there, and the beach was fun. We played in the tidal pools...poking anemememenies and small fish and snails and hermit crabs. And he scared me half to death when he made me climb this one section of rock that dropped very nicely into a deep crevasse of very very sharp rocks. Ooh and we saw a pod of dolphins on the ferry back home today! That was cool, especially since we didn't see any sea lions or whales at the beach. But next time my parents come up here to visit, his parents say they'll take us all back to the island and go on a whale watching boat. And his parents will be coming to visit us next summer, so we'll get to show them around Pittsburgh and the surrounding area, maybe take them up to Niagra.
Oh yeah, and the tentaive date appears to be May or June, 2008. Just thought you'd all like to know. :-D
