So here I am again making a go at this whole posting thing. So to sum up the last ugh year and a half: quit job found new job quit new job and now looking for next new job. There quick and dirty. I have discovered that being a full time chef leaves very little in the way of time for anything else. Furthermore being a chef makes me like cooking ( Read more... )

Furthermore being a chef makes me like cooking less and less everyday so in order to save my love of cooking I have decided to go back into IT.

This is the very reason why I have not considering "cheffing" or "catering" as a back-up career. Plus, I very nearly ruined my love of reading in a similar fashion. Luckily, I recovered.

Good luck with the writing. Glad to see you back around the virtual world again.... Blog your recipes so I can "steal" them. I made up a meatloaf recipe recently.

He said a few days ago that he had a moment of, "I really love being a chef," while cooking something for dinner, and that that was the first time he'd felt that since sometime before Christmas. So I think getting out of actually cooking for a living was a reaaaaaaaalllllllly good idea.

That looks really good.

I just do the basic meatloaf myself. Although I don't use tomato paste or ketchup in the meatloaf. I have never really cared for it. I just add ketchup myself on the plate.

I will get Catie to show me how to do a cut tag and put up a mild fish stew with potatoes that I think you will like.

This is the very reason why I have not considering "cheffing" or "catering" as a back-up career.

Me likewise, exactly. Writing for a living is dangerous enough, in terms of harming the thing I love; I wasn't about to risk the back-up passion also.
