Today is the last day to pre-register for Anthrocon 2012!  Pre-Registration offers several advantages:
* There are shorter and faster-moving lines for all pre-registered attendees. You'll be on your way in, on average, a third of the time.

So, I attended Anthrocon unemployed. That's the middle of the story.

On Friday, woked up and watched a bit of Jakers! on PBS with murakozi (Valent). Well-animated show, and we enjoyed the appearance of the non-talking non-morphic donkey Finnegan surrounded by the anthro, talking, main characters; as well as Mel Brooks doing the voice of a mischevious sheep. ... no really, MEL BROOKS AS A SHEEP. Plenty of solid sleep, a carefully ironed chef's jacket, two cherry Pop-Tarts, and quite good in-room coffee. Mmmm. Then downstairs I headed for the request of paper hat from the Westin's Executive Sous Chef, who most kindly ;gave me one.

After the usual all-night packing session- which was managed in one suitcase, a backpack, and a camera bag (Much lighter packing than usual for me), I caught the 7am flight to Anthrocon. Saturday morning, again, early rising, pressing of chef jacket, and trundling downstairs to meet murakozi for breakfast, along with Hunter and Pat, a couple who live in his area. Thursday morning, stirred awake and started the shower march with 5 people taking their turn.Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood was watched and declared quite the best thing on TV at that hour, and I learned that Mr. Rogers got his start in Pittsburgh.. so it seemed most appropriate. ( Read more... )
