Started up the garden again! Cleared out the old stuff, raised the middle bed's dirt level, planted 4 kinds of tomatoes, basil, thyme, sage, lavender, parsley and oregano.

Pool saline chlorination system was not working. Symptoms indicated a burnt out minor electronic component ( Read more... )

Found 6 or so little caterpillars on my fennel today. The fennel doesn't seem too much the worse for wear, but one of the dang things was eating the Dill, which DOES seem worse for wear :(

I picked them off, though it's a bit hard to do so, knowing that they turn into these:
