I was down at the warehouse today when the VP of sales called me into his office. Dave the Sales manager was there too. The VP proceeded to play a voicemail he received that morning from a guy that Dave and I had a sit with yesterday. The sit went great. We laid it all out for this guy and he was happy with everything and the terms when we left. Well, on the voicemail he proceeds to tell our VP how he was disappointed with the sit and yada yada yada. The VP calls him back and said Dave was unprofessional (he's been in the produce business over 20 years) and how I was a rookie and didn't know anything and that he doesn't think I could handle his account. This is an upscale sandwich shop with 7 locations in the Atlanta area. I handle single accounts that do 5 times the volume he does. Heck, I have one that does 10 times his volume. The VP proceeded to tell him that I had 16 years restaurant experience and that I'm a former Chef and that I do know what I'm talking about. I was fuming the rest of the day over that comment.

Turns out the President of our company dealt with this guy years ago. We fired him because he's a nut job. We will put him on our highest pricing structure and hope he just goes away.

Good Riddance Dickhead!
