(no subject)
Well, today I woke up at 6:30 and drove to Berkeley with the cartop carrier and the entire back of the car full of cleya's stuff. We settled her into her room...its a triple. Her roommates are Renee, who's really nice, and Trisha, who's quiet/shy, but not bad. Cleya brought our old microwave, and Renee brought a refrigerator. They all brought some food. Renee brought a 9-pound box of oatmeal! and some homemade preserves, which she said her grandparents gave her. She also had a big thing of ketchup. Those were all in the same box together, and we were wondering what she ate the ketchup on: the oatmeal or the preserves. Finally I asked her, and she said her mom had her bring it because she thought it would be useful... even though none of them brought anything that she could use ketchup on.
We cloroxed and lysoled every single surface in the room. The lightswitch was disgusting, and inside the closets looked like no one had ever cleaned it before. But the room was clean after we took care of it :)
She's on the third floor, but she has an incredible view of the bay...so she's lucky because she has a great room and normal roommates. Two doors down there was a double guys' room, and one of them brought two big leather chairs. They barely fit in the room, but they looked really comfy. Another guy brought this huge thing that we thought was a fancy schmancy tv, but now lynnea thinks its a computer because she looked into his room and said he was working on it or something.
Cleya got the top bunk above the two desks..the one she wanted.
I miss her a ton. Coming back and seeing her empty room was really hard. I wrote her a letter...everyone likes getting mail! I need to bake some cookies and send them to her.
Enough on that...its making me sad. Tomorrow I babysit and get my hair cut. Tuesday I babysit again...Olive and Grant. BB and Zoe both know Olivia.
Well, I won't really see any of you before school starts, with my busy next few days, so..
see you at school! 7:45 am...I bet most of you haven't been up that early all summer
except for everyone who took summerschool. so you're more used to it!
