El Jefe is out of town and gave me an assignment: depict my PhD Specific Aims pictorally. Um...kaaaay. I'm up to Rough Sketch stage. Suggestions for jumping over to the Polished Image stage? I'm not much of an artist so I was hoping for something I can use to modify/create stuff that looks similar to the "warning" signs I see around, with the stick-like guy who gets his hands stuck in stuff and such. And I'll need to do line drawings (somehow) of macrophages and alveoli. Or at least modify existing ones. Are there programs that can transform photos into line drawings? Can PhotoShop do this? I have PhotoShop for Mac 7.0 and might be able to find a more advanced copy of the program.
And advice or words of wisdom from the pixel pushers out there? Again, I'm not an artist and really don't know much about creating graphic art.
Thanks in advance!
