Hmm...
Since it's New Year's day, I'm gonna write down resolutions/goals/whatever and stuff that I want to get done by next year.
Life
• Start driving again. I have some basic skills, but I'm so out of practice, I might as well re-learn.
• On that note, get a car.
• *insert BS on losing weight here*
• Set up my own bank account and a Paypal account.
• Look into getting my own apartment near the school. See about room-mate options too.
Education
• Continue to go to school and do well in classes.
Professional
• I really need to get a new computer. My current Mac is fine, but it's not powerful enough to run programs like Maya and newer versions of Adobe Suite. I'm gunning for a good Intel Mac. The reason is not only will I have to take 3D classes very soon, and I will need something powerful enough to effetively run Maya, but I also need something that can pretty much do anything else I'll need, like putting together a portfolio and demo reel. I'll settle for a cheap PC laptop as a temporary solution, but I really need something much better.
• On that note, I really need to start working on pieces to put into a portfolio, and start building a portfolio website. If I start now, I can have a fairly good chance.
• The school offers free Life Drawing sessions every Wednesday evening. I am going to get a sketchbook for these sessions and start going to them. Again, some possible portfolio pieces could be lurking in the midsts, and they'll help me improve in my understanding of the human figure.
• Look into joining Game Design clubs or find internships of some sort.
• Keep helping Dad with his work via Production Assistant. Tedious work, but it'll help me out in the long run.
Fun Stuff - Art
• Work on my art more and improve and whatever little way I can. No brainer.
• Work on my original works. Not portfolio stuff, but creating more original characters and storylines. I have a dozen or more characters and quite a few developed and developing stories cluttering up my head, and it'd be great to finally bring all of that to life.
• Finish up whatever fanart project and claims I accumulate for my own personal enjoyment. Need to find a happy medium between original art, fanart, and portfolio art though. XD
•You know, I really want to get my hands on some Copic Markers, and a shiny new Tablet. XD
Fun Stuff - Fandom
• Start writing Saintly Sword Romantic Story again. I really do want to write and finish this, but my attention goes off to my art, classes, and other things. Yet I'm always accumulating ideas for this fic in my head, and I really want to finish writing it.
• Also start writing more additions to Headband and Hairsticks. Because there needs to be more EscadxHeroine.
• Build an EscadxHeroine Fanlisting/Union site and publish it. That would be fun.
• Try and write more fics in general. I love reading fanfiction, and I keep meaning to get back into writing it for myself.
Fun Stuff - Misc.
• Start playing guitar again. I miss it.
• Get more into Web Design and Learn Dreamweaver as well as the more complex functions of GoLive and use an actual script writing program like TextEdit or something for writing code. Also need to learn CSS.
• Get a table at Artist's Alley for this year's Anime Weekend Atlanta! I really want tooo.... That'd be fuuun! Spend a whole weekend at an anime convention. XD
