2 months ago, I stopped watching Japanese dramas. I used to watch an episode or two a day to pass time while doing my painfully boring physio exercises for my knees. However, once my knees got better in August, I stopped physio and stopped watching. Well now my knees aren't that great again (I'm a cross-legged addict :P ) and thanks to

"I am going to HATE this show" and "lelola, I thought we were friends!"
"NOOOOOOOOO!!" Hold me, hold me, hold me senorita! WTF?!!
OMG! XD *falls off her chair with laughter*
I agree with you about the romance. It was kinda pointless. But I am happy that Kurosagi didn't turn lovey-dovey, because that would have made me angry. As for Yukari (Tsurara's friend), I couldn't really stand her. I keep trying to figure out why she was in the series and failing. Also, there was a third female character, a senpai of theirs, but you only see her a few times. I kinda wish she had all the screentime Yukari did.
Granted, most of the cast in this show weren't exactly giving stellar performances either.
Agreed. The actress that plays the crazy lady that gets swindled in episode one and goes around screaming "two million" is horrible in Kurosagi. It's weird, because I've seen her shine in another role (ironically, as Yamapi's mother in another drama XD). I blame the director. Or maybe Chapel. It's clearly his fault.
My frustration with the ending is that it made the series go basically nowhere. Nothing got resolved, except for maybe Tsurara and Yukari, and really, who cares about them? There was no ending, really.
Also, the production value of the series could have been better. I think I need to lower my expectations. ><;;
Anyway, yay for you actually watching it! X3
*wipes tear* I'm so proud of you!

I watched teh trailer, and it took me a moment to realize that I recognised the actress from Sapuri (don't watch Sapuri, btw). My mind boogles at her taking on this kind of role, but I look forward to seeing it.

I noticed a lot of the cast members decided to play their roles light heartedly for whatever reason. There's a lot of comic swindlers, esp the women. That woman that kept picking up pennies annoyed me the most. :P The detective's manic laugh was also a bit too "Dr. Evil" for my tastes.
Inviting Chapel over to watch any Johnny's drama is probably not such a good idea. ;)
I think the ending implies that they were expecting good ratings and want to do a special or another season in the future. BTW, have you heard that they're doing Hana Yori Dango 2? And is this a sign of the apocolypse?
Wow, I didn't think you'd be agreeing with me on so many points. The way you plugged it, I assumed it was a Perfect 10 for you. ;)
Soooo, I've held up my side of the trade . . have you watched any of my DVD yet? ;) I think I forgot to mention it, but the jdramas I chose for you all feature really strong women, something that I find is rare in jdrama. So think you'll enjoy it.
I'm trying to avoid any series with Ito Misaki in the starring role. ;) But I'm surprised to hear that young girl is in it. She's really awesome in Joou no Kyoushitsu which is also on that DVD so hope you do check it out. The series is also partially directed by the Nobuta director and scored by the Nobuta composer, if that gives you added incentive. ;)

I've only read the first few chapters, since that's all that's been scanslated. I don't really remember the girls having that much of an established role yet. Hmm. In one of the chapters was a pretty awesome swindle that I wish was in the drama.

There seems to be a trend to make "bad" people as abnormal as possible, perhaps to absolve the rest of the population from feeling any connection to them. :/

Pssht. It would be comedic gold! :D

Yes, but I've yet to see a confirmation of it and my vague knowledge of MatsuJun's schedule makes me doubt it. My reaction is "oh god why?" because the first series was pretty bad. Also, because they took a bunch of the plotlines from the manga and scrambled them together for the first drama, I worry for a second.

Heh. I'm actually pretty picky. So far, I've really liked Nobuta wo. Produce and Kamen Rider Blade, and that's about it. ^^;;

Uh, I really should get on that. >________>

Ohhhh. Now that's the spirit!
Oh, and on a random note, in my Japanese class, we're doing time this week and the days of the month next week. I needed some way to practice and all I can say is... THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT TV PAGE! ♥

This seems like proof enough that there's a HanaDan 2:

Oh well, I guess if that's really the only way to see Inoue Mao again. BTW, wazzupwit Mao and Yamapi attending the same University? And are you going to apply for an exchange there? ;) I'm actually kinda wondering how Yamapi gets to classes without being mobbed by girls.
Ah ha, so I'm not the only one who keeps putting the period after Nobuta's "wo". ;)
Glad it came in handy, but whoa, you guys are still doing days of the week?? Didn't you already take Japanese in high school?

...well, then.
I'm actually kinda wondering how Yamapi gets to classes without being mobbed by girls.
I'm betting he attends partially/mostly via correspondence. I have a clip somewhere of him from when he just entered Meiji University and he had a camera crew following him around. He arrived late for a giant opening ceremonies assembly thing (terminology is awesome), and was followed by a camera crew and a reporter. (He didn't attract any attention at all. >____>)
It's kinda of bizarre, and things like him sitting in the front row make me think that Yamapi attending Meiji is a mutually beneficial thing. Yamapi gets publicity for getting in (I think he's in business? IDK.) and the school gets publicity because he goes there. As for how much school he actually attends, I'm not sure. I do know he goes to some classes, because I've found some nice illegal cell phone photos taken by people in the same classes as him. ><; Man, I don't envy him.
*searches YouTube* AHA! (They have a longer version than the one I do. D:)

It's officially spelled that way. :D

I wish I took it in highschool. I took Japanese for eight days last year... and that's all the previous schooling I had. Besides that, this is my first time taking Japanese. We're only on the fifth week of lessons, so days of the week and month it is. ^^;;;

Thanks, really interesting clip. I think no one noticed since this was pre-Nobuta when he was just another one of the 30 NewS members. You can tell since they keep flashing his name to remind you who he is. ;) Is it common for Johnny's members to go into Uni? Is Kame doing it? And if you find any clips of Mao @ Meiji, let me know. :)
Doesn't the period officially come after "Nobuta"?
That class must be really slow for you considering the 100000 hours of self-studying you've done using anime, dramas and jpop.
Oh btw, I also watched that Ouran high school anime you gave me too. Really funny, I never saw that ending coming! And the Honey character is hilarious. I'll try to watch the rest one of these days.

I try to, but I get lazy. I just have a problem seeing my typos, and I dislike coming back to something I've written a day later to see a bunch of silly obvious errors. Thanks for the link! X3

There's quite a few in university, actually. Ironically, most of NEWS is in university. KAT-TUN, on the other hand... well Jin did "temporarily" leave the group this week to "study abroad". :/

...doh!

I wish! I'm having a lot of trouble with the oral component. I can't seem to listen fast enough and it's driving me insane. Why am I so slow? Why isn't all the multimedia I've consumed helping me? IT DOES NOT COMPUTE. D:

It's a really good series! You should watch more~ *peer pressure*
Oh! And I can't seem to find the CD you gave me! ><;;;;;; Have no fear, because I know I have it, I just don't know where in my room it is. I was tearing things apart looking for it yesterday and failing. Knowing me, I probably put it some place special so I wouldn't lose it. ><;;; Why do I fail at life so much? My goal is to find it by December break when I'll actually have time to watch it.

Yeah, I heard about Jin . . I wonder what they're gonna do with the "A" and if he'll be erased from history like SMAP's Mori. I'm also wondering, seeing how KATTUN has a big fanbase in the U.S., if anyone will recognize him on campus even without make-up (which I guess he'll drop to fit in better and avoid getting bullied ;) ).

Akira shock!!! >_< Eh well, you're probably too busy this season with Tatta Hitotsu no Koi anyway. XD

While I guess a sequel for HYD was likely considering its massive ratings, wasn't the HYD drama ending the same as the HYD manga ending? Will the sequel be all non-manga based? Sounds like it could be an even bigger disaster than HYD 1 was. >_<
I heard Nodame is good and I might check it out eventually. In fact, I might watch everything this season since it all looks good. ;)
