6 Degrees: A Test and a Favor
I wonder, how many degrees of separation are between me and a fansubber? hmmmmmmmm . . . .
So if you're a fansubber, or if you know someone who is, or knows someone who knows someone, etc. could you direct them here or pass on this question?:
- How do I rip a DVD onto my harddrive in .avi format?
I tried using this popular guide (http://guide.zhentarim.net/) but it makes no sense! There's so many steps and so many programs to download . . there has to be an easier way to do this!! Yet I've gone through Google and couldn't find anything else. HELP!

TV ticker: EVERYONE knows my favorite TV show is Dancing with the Stars, but this season, I'm starting to notice a pattern in the "stars" chosen. There's the singer, the model, the Olympic gold medalist, the NFL Superbowl champion, the soap star, the comedian, and the 70 year old. You can tell they don't care much about competitiveness and just want to cover every demographic everytime . . heck, they've even thrown in a Hannah Montana star this season for the kids!
I was really hoping they wouldn't get trapped in that stagnant loop that most reality shows like Idol and Survivor fall into, but oh well. At least there's still Bruno and Tom Bergeron to look forward to. (How the heck did Jeff Probst beat Tom for that Emmy, the world may never know.)
Stupid ticker: Ever see a book that made you wonder how it got published? At the bookstore the other day, I found a good example.
