Feeling Productive

Today is Labor Day! Decided to go to work to make up for some of the hours I will miss later this week for Dr. appts and vacation that begins Friday. It only took me 10 minutes to get to work vs. the 25 min commute on a regular work day. It was great. I have accomplished more this morning than I probably would have all week with staff around. It is amazing how much a staff of 60 needs their ever faithful Office Manager. What are they going to do while I am on vacation?

Honestly, I don't really care.

I just got done ordering $4000 of office supplies (mostly toner and paper), have sifted thru over 400 e-mails and decided to take a moment for myself before ordering coffee supplies to get everyone thru till I get back. My gopher person is not going to be very happy when 32 boxes of paper show up to be distributed tomorrow. Oh, well. I was rock'n out in the kitchen to my new Avril CD new to me, been in the stores forever. Scared the crap out of all three coworkers who decided to come in for various reasons. I keep the office lights off when I am here, it makes it feel less like work, that may have helped me in scaring everyone...camoflage you know. The windows provide plenty of light and why waste the energy. I wish it could be like this all the time. I have 2 huge florescent lights in my office and on bad days (headache days) I feel like I am sitting in a tanning bed with no eye protection. One of them broke last week and I have yet to mention it to the building maintenance guy. It makes my office much more tolerable.  I may just keep my mouth shut till someone notices.

I guess I should get back to work.  I think it is time to switch CD's.  Avril 6 times is plenty.

Ta!
