Wine Fesival
Went to the Virginia Wine Festival this weekend and had a great time. We rode with friends that have a convertible so we pulled our hair back and hit the open road. It was great. This year it was at the Historic Long Branch property in Millwood, VA. It took about an 1 1/2 hours to get there on the scenic route thru all of the little towns along the way. It was very nice. Failed miserably on the sunscreen mission and have a lovely farmer tan (ok burn) on my arms and chest. I apparently failed to factor in the time in the car. The wind whipping past you at 70 mph makes it easy to forget that you are in the sun. Thankfully there was lots of shade at the festival. We tried a little of everything and even splurged and got a funnel cake. On the way back we stopped for dinner in Leesburg and totally forgot about the diet. I even had dessert. We bought at least 15 bottles of wine. Now I need to figure out how to ship some of it to my mom's house so we can take it on vacation with us.
