I knew it was too good to be true.

Yesterday we received a call from the furniture store we bought our new couch from. It's on back order. BASTARDS. Apparently all the stores in the area work off the same inventory at their warehouse and it is not automatically reconciled. They had some in stock when we bought it (which is why we bought it) and if we have picked it up that day it would be ours now. Because we picked delivery, it put us in a queue and enough people had the couch delivered to them before our delivery date that we lose out. Now the couch is expected 11/27 into the warehouse and we have to arrange for delivery again. We have found others in the area that we would have to pick up for a couple of hundred dollars more. I think we will let the order stand for now. I just feel defeated and I hate that this experience invalidates the great shopping day we had. Seeing as good days are kinda far and few between right now, I hold on to them tightly.

In other news, Ikea got the chair in that we were looking for. We have decided to get 2 of them and will go pay for them tonight. Unfortunately they don't have the ottoman slip cover yet, but apparently the white marsh MD store does, so maybe we will make a field trip this weekend. I am hoping that there will be some kind of miracle and we will find one in Woodbridge tonight. I am going to look at couches again too.

Value City is ruining my Thanksgiving! ARRRGH!
