Stepford Wives

So I just returned from seeing this movie with my parents. Do you know what I was thinking the entire time? Wow, the boys of the BAT program at my school need to see this movie, stat. They are just like the husbands in the film.
For those of you who don't know, BAT stands for Bachelor of Applied Theology. This basically is the major you take if you want to be a preacher when you grow up. And even though I live in very modern So.Cal., the majority of the boys (there is only 1 girl) in this class are so stuck in the 1950's. If you asked them, most would tell you that they want their future wife to stay home with the kids, clean the house and have a hot dinner ready and waiting on the table when they got home. It makes me sick. I'll never be that woman. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't think there's anything wrong with stay-at-home moms, it looks like an extremely tough job. I'm talking about the woman who caters to her husbands every wish. The woman who has no independence whatsoever and calls herself by the name Mrs. John Doe. Don't think I'm a crazy feminist or anything, but I will never be one of those women.
I just think it would be beneficial for the boys of the BAT program at CalBaptist to see this movie and realize that the women they all long to find and marry are robots, they don't exist.
Okay, the rant is done, I promise. :-)
