I got my hair cut and highlighted on Friday. It's all good. I think I can actually continue to style it the way it should be styled. Of course, I'm going for a basic bob, so where's the difficulty in that? Trust me, if there is the slightest chance I'll have funky, messed up hair, I'll have it. Mr. Charm said he liked it - multiple times! My friend

The CoS video game is great. I have the PC version, and there is apparently a whole section where Harry goes to the Burrow that is on other versions of the game, but not the PC version. WTF? I've gotten to the very end and there's another oh-so-not-canon scenario wherein Harry runs from a giant, rolling Indiana Jones boulder. I get crushed everytime because the controls no longer seem to function the way have for the whole rest of the game. Again, WTF?
I worked for Fox News back in '93 when the whole Branch Davidian standoff took place. I spent the first 18 days of the siege in Waco. I stayed in an $18 a night room at the Val-U Inn. (Actual name) When I checked into my room, the bed was unmade, and there was a trashcan full of Miller cans. There was also a mystery stain on the floor that looked suspiciously like blood. I can only assume what the room looked like under a black light, so I bought a sleeping bag at the nearby Wal-Mart and slept in that for the duration of my sentence.
The one good thing about Waco, and mind you I had to think long and hard to find one positive thing, was a steak house called Waterworks. (?) We spent about $5 of our perdiem at Whataburger. The remainder went to Waterworks. I had teh most amazing fillets there EVERY NIGHT, along with several double Absoluts. That made Waco tolerable.
In other thoughts... 1. you are a writer. You write things. We read them. There. Definition of a writer. It doesn't hurt that you write wonderfully well and your stories are a joy to read. 2. I'm jealous you have part 5 of Third. I'm just now printing (the revamped) part 4 so I can read it here at work.
I just re-read PoA prior to the beginning of the a_chapter_a_day, so I'll pick up when y'all get to GoF.

You aren't missing much with the Burrow on the CoS video game. It consists of stunning and throwing trolls into a field, and some weird thing with a charmed washing machine. I hate the Whomping Willow. Diagon Alley was cool. I'm hoping we make it into the castle soon!
I'll consider myself a writer if I can complete an original novel. Not publish, b/c that is just a dream, but if I can finish it, then I might start calling myself a writer. Right now, finishing the novel is a dream as a matter of fact!
Did you get my offline IM messages? You look like Harry Potter!

No Burrow AND no Diagon Alley, either.
BTW, I think it was Mt. Carmel. An unusual name considering there was nothing even remotely resembling a mountain around there... until the FBI turned the compound into a smoldering pile of rubble.
The Whomping Willow on the PC was a snap. There are some things you're going to encounter that will make that look like a tiptoe through the tulips. Mwahahaha!
