Decorating is EXPENSIVE! Mom and I went to Ikea yesterday to buy one or two things for the apartment. We got bookshelves and coffee tables, and then turned our attention to bed stuff. To expedite my learning of Italian I have begun labelling things all over the house with sticky notes bearing their names in Italian, leaving lots of space for Beth and Laura to fill in the appropriate names in Mandarin and Spanish, respectively. I had a very strange dream last night. The actual events are kind of jumbled by now, but Mom, Bob, the minions and Jim Carrey were in it. It involved jack-o-lanterns, bricks of ice cream, astronauts, and a benign alien race that looked kinda like LOTR elves, but without the pointy ears. But mostly it seemed to be about pumpkin pie.

I just had a great weekend. Beffles was down from Aggieland, so I went home on Friday to say hi. Then she went to an Astros game and Mom and Laura and I ate chinese, did home pedicures, drank pina coladas and watched Emma from a big pile of pillows on the floor.
