Random observations and such
Cheese, chocolate, pet food and yogurt each have their own full aisle in my local grocery store. They do not keep milk in the refrigerated section. It's on a shelf, next to the soda and apple juice.
It costs 10 euros to do a load of laundry. For the same amount you can buy 3 or 4 bottles of pretty good wine.
My French is pathetic. I need classes to start SOON!
I saw my first opera last night, not counting G&S. It was Die Fledermaus, performed in German with French subtitles. It was really good.
AIFS is the most unorganized organization I have ever come into contact with. Everyone has horror stories, and mine isn't the worst. One girl got her plane tickets at midnight the night before the flight.
I am always hungry here. I don't know if it's all the walking or something in the air, or if it's that I can't go two blocks without being assailed by the scent of fresh bread or roasted chicken, or being confronted with a giant window packed with chocolates or pasteries. I'm getting hungry again just thinking about it.
Kellie is never on the internet. This bites, and confuses me somewhat as she was on all the time last semester. Did she lose her laptop again?
