Master Cleanse Day 1 and Pride

Sooo, I haven't posted in a while.  A long while actually.  I came back and read some of you guy's entries and my have a missed you all.  Many comments will abound!  I've found your lives strangely similar to the way I left them.  I'm glad to be back.  I feel like I've done too many returns though, like Michael Jordan or Jay-Z.

Today I started day one of the Master Cleanse, which is a fast that consists of drinking this godawful "lemonade" made with water, lemon, maple syrup and cayenne pepper!  The first one I made had way too much pepper in it and went down like a shot of tequila...12 shots to be exact and what's worse, the aftermath wasn't as pleasent as it would have been with the tequila.  My nose started running and my eyes burned for a few minutes.  It was terrible.  I thought to myself...just 10 more days to go.

Long story short:  I FAILED!!!

And not one of those guilt laden failures either.  I laughed my whole way through a binge of iceburg lettuce topped with nutritional yeast and Bragg's liquid aminos, lemon juice from the 6 bucks worth of organic lemons I ironically bought this morning for the purpose of fasting.  Ha!  I finished the entire bag of lettuce and then a can of Spinach.  As if that wasn't enough I popped in a bag of steam in bag veggies and gobbled those down with two vegan patties.  Whew!  I am not cut out for fasting!  I'm a binger and fasting only triggers binges.  Luckily all the food I ate was rather healthy.  The only guilt came from the cooked veggies, as I am trying to convert from vegan to raw vegan.  I feel better though.

The last day of Tallahassee Pride is tommorrow and I, sadly have not participated in any of the events.  Why?  Because I know very few people here!  And the few I know are gone for the summer.  And no one I know here is LGBTQ!!  My soon-to-be-sister-in-law would probably have gone with me if she were in town this weekend.  I kinda feel shitty for missing it, but whatev!  Hopefully I'll make the one in ATL this fourth of July weekend.

Man, I feel better.  I could use a piece of avacado.  Mmmm...
