The Truth Is Out There
Click to viewThe best thing that could have ever happened to me occurred yesterday afternoon as I was driving to work. I was offered a FREE ticket to go see the new X-Files movie the day before it even opens with a group of people of the highest quality. Bounce*bounce*bounce. Certainly, this is the best thing to have ever happened to me. I am so excited that I may have peed myself just a little bit.
I'm also really excited to see it with, I'm assuming, a group of hardcore fans who might dress up in ridiculous alien/CIA agent costumes. Not that I'm nerdy enough to do that or anything...be warned, next time you see me there is a possibility my hair may be a similar color to Scully circa her cancer episodes. I think one of my favorite moments of college was bonding with my adviser over having the same X-Files action figures from the first movie. Although mine are still in their boxes.
The other fabulously awesome thing that happened was the combination of Gillian Anderson and Dave Attel on the Tonight Show. God, X-Files and Insomniac all at one time. So much TV goodness I could explode. Gillian Anderson is so hilarious. With her posh accent and her pregnant-ness. What a classy lady. David Duchovy is also pretty classy. I bet they hate their X-Files fans. If I ever meet Gillian Anderson I will be sure to gush over Tristram Shandy and not the X-Files.
