Barely 11:30, and it had already been a long day as far as Izuru was concerned. It wasn't that he had to personally brief every squad in the Third Division as much as the weight of everything going on in Seireitei. Had he chosen to, he could have passed off assignments to the officers and focused on other things, but his orders concerning this were not something he could leave open to interpretation. Every member of the Division had to know, directly, what he expected of them. There was no telling what had happened to the dead Arrancar, only that it had been a shinigami who had killed him. It could have been any shinigami, especially given the unrest in Soul Society. He rather hoped it was none of the Third Division, but it was a heavy thought to imagine any shinigami in Seireitei doing so. They were capable of it... but actually doing it? He didn't want to think of the consequences they would face as a result.
Dismissing the last of the squads he had been addressing, he blew out a long sigh as noise filled the training yard and pushed his hair out of his face, staring down at the papers in his hand. The squad he had just dismissed was one of his own; one that reported directly to him rather than any other officer. It was also the one Mashiro had been assigned to upon her admission to the Division. Looking up, he watched the mass of black-clad shinigami preparing their groups for various patrols, guard duties, and the multitude of other everyday tasks they had to maintain despite the added responsibilities due to the murder. It wasn't hard to spot Mashiro's shock of lime hair as it stood out against everyone else. He had heard a few murmurings over the last few days about some unrest concerning her, but she hadn't come to see him about it personally. She was strong, though, and Izuru was sure she could handle it. If she couldn't, she would come to him. Turning his attention away from the mass, he made a mental note to talk to her later concerning his other requests for her. She would be busy for the time being anyway.
