Summary: Kira and Hitsugaya finally meet to talk business.
It was a long time coming that Izuru would come to see Hitsugaya. A long time of things getting in the way since their last meeting in December. Izuru was ashamed of himself for not forcing it to happen earlier. They had needed to discuss Momo, but then things had gotten worse for the two of them after that fight just before his promotion. Certainly, they'd seen one another afterward, with the fact that he'd been sick, and she had tried to help him. He appreciated it, but it had been a superficial visit. Nothing had been resolved about their fight, and he flushed at the memory of breaking the door. He hated for his temper to get beyond his control, but it seemed to happen more often lately. That wasn't... a good thing. Worse, they just hadn't had a substancial conversation since then. Izuru felt like his friendship with Momo was not only slipping away, but completely beyond his grasp.
And now she was broken and in the care of Hitsugaya until she could pull herself together again. If she could pull through, if he could help her, then perhaps she would heal again and come out on the other side of the bad place she had been in. Izuru was... appreciative that Hitsugaya had finally come through for her. It had taken time, but at least it had happened. God knew, Izuru wasn't the person who could have done it for her, though he wished it could have been. That didn't matter. What mattered was that she would be okay. He had faith in her, and in Hitsugaya.
Which led to the other reason for his visit.
Since talking with Renji about the sword, about being informed of a growing resistance, Izuru had been mulling things over in his head. It was inexcusable to let it sit and stew over it. Hitsugaya had also lost an officer. Shuuhei was too busy with other things to discuss the matter, and he didn't know the other captains well enough to discuss the matter with them. Not that he knew Hitsugaya all that well, but it was better than Ukitake--who already knew--and Komamura, whom he didn't know at all. It seemed... right for him to know. Izuru sincerely doubted Hitsugaya was sympathetic to Aizen, anyway.
Despite the look of surprise on the faces of the young, unseated shinigami in the Tenth at seeing another captain walking through so freely (really, was it that strange?), Izuru found his way to the Administrative Office and knocked twice. "Hitsugaya-taichou," He called, supposing his voice was distinctive enough to identify himself.
