Summary: Ururu gets to go on a special field trip with Brutus! And who should she run into but a Hollow and Hitsugaya-taichou.

It was a lovely spring day. The sun was shining, the air was fresh and a bit cool, and Ururu was on a special mission. It was a perfect day.
Brutus scampered on ahead of her, nosing his way along the sidewalk. Ururu walked in the middle of the road - there was no fear of being run over in the dead Karakura town. Taking one hand from balancing the cannon on her shoulder, she adjusted the device around her neck that Kisuke-san had given her. He hoped he was getting a clear picture... or whatever this thing did. He'd only really said that it was for spying, and that he knew she was good at being a spy, so wouldn't she test it out while he monitored it from home?
Ururu felt her spirits lift again just at the thought. She was really being helpful now, helping with Kisuke-san's research.
A sudden sensation piqued at the edge of her awareness, bringing her out of her daydream. A Hollow.
Without hesitation she dampened her reiatsu, jogged forward to pick up Brutus in one hand, and slid into a short shunpo. She didn't want to get too close - Senren Bakusatsu Taiho had a good range, after all. Feeling the Hollow more clearly now that she was closer, she did another shunpo to bring her within range.
Setting Brutus down she peeked out from behind a garden wall. There was the Hollow. A chill ran up her spine - the thing seemed pretty powerful. It growled softly like a wolf as it moved through the overgrown grass in the small park. It's thick legs made the ground tremble a bit and it's face moved from side to side as if searching for something.
Satisfied that she would have a clear shot as long as it didn't move beyond the park Ururu prepared her cannon. Yet after just a moment she heard the Hollow scream. Eyes wide she looked past the wall again and saw that the Hollow had noticed Brutus who was flying towards it. What-- how had he gotten over there so fast?
Lifting up Senren Bakusatsu Taiho she was about to fire - then froze as another reiatsu appeared between her and the Hollow.
