Oh hey, I'm still alive. It's been awhile since I updated, so let's do a good ole obsession post.
- Inglourious Basterds. It made me want to relearn French (I liked how well I could follow the actors), and learn some damn German. I liked how many words I could pick up of that as well, with the help of the English subtitles. Plus, I love Eli Roth ( lol the wank over his interaction with ontd-ers), Michael Fassbender, Daniel Bruehl, Christoph Waltz, and of course Samm Levine. Also found myself loving B.J. Novak. Quentin did it again.
- MST3K. Especially Joel. Goofy-cute. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend I Accuse My Parents. Link to first part here.
- Movies about drag queens. Recently watched Priscilla, Queen of the Desert for the first time and rewatched To Wong Foo. I love the drag aesthetic, and wished I had the cojones to use fashion and makeup to make a statement like they do. I think that's why I love performers like Lady Gaga or Robots in Disguise and even, God help me, Chris Corner. I love people who know how to use image.
- Merlin/Arthur. That's pretty much the only fic I'm reading lately.
- Community, with Joel McHale. I can't big-up this enough. I want this to thrive, because it's uncomfortably funny in the same way Party Down is.
Also, seeing Gogol Bordello in a week. I am excite.
