Oh, and here's a question for the ages.

Is m/m slash easier to write than femmeslash because the subtext is easier to spot?

Compare and contrast: two men walking down the street holding hands, vs. two women doing the same.

Could this be the reason why m/m slash is so much easier to find and is bigger than f/f slash?

Apparently I should not be reading metafandom. Some of the things I find there will piss me off to holy hell, as for example the incredible wtf-ery of the latest "slash is sexist" essay.
