I know way too many dirty enablers

I've spent the better part of today wrangling my computer and giving it the finger playing with LitLift, which is... pretty good exercise if nothing else, for me. I keep most of my characters, settings and items in my head, but it's pretty good practice to write them down and try to condense something as sprawling as a world into a blurb I could fit on the backside of a book.

It's kind of funny to me that I take this so seriously, when the blurbs for my books tend... not to be. For example, here's the blurb for the first part of the Angelverse series (two books as is. Maybe more):

Whoever said dying meant going to a better place had obviously never met the forces of Heaven. Lilith's dayjob as an Archangel technically puts her in charge of the sorry lot, but having more than a little demon in her bloodstream makes the Heavenly Host more than happy to just point in her in the direction they want her to go. The direction in question starts with Lucifer, who after his Fall has managed to power himself up to demi-god status through sheer sulk and is gunning for Heaven with a vengeance.

As if that wasn't enough, Lilith is hounded by hit demons from Hell (lead by Beelzebub who might have more than murder in mind where Lilith is concerned), and the mysterious Cabal of Chaos Gods, who would like it very much if she would lay the smackdown on God, please.

(Btw, would you read that? If that was the blurb? Would you? Curious minds want to know.)

I'm trying to figure out descriptions for Jesterverse, but Jesterverse has always been really, really difficult to condense and I don't know if I can make it. Because seriously. I tried telling my shrink and I ended up pretty much relating the entire plot. It is a conundrum.

original fiction, jesterverse, look out! the monkey's writing again!, angelsverse
