The Big Snow hasn't started yet, so I might be able to get home in decent time. I took the bus today. I can take a 6U to the ...well, directly to the U, but there is no bus going south direct to my neighborhood - until evening. This means a transfer going home. If the U is in session (including finals week, like today), there is an express bus that takes me to the Uptown transit station. That's a nicer shelter to wait than the small ones downtown - and downtown I'd have to walk a few blocks from the light rail station to a bus stop.
At 4 a.m. today I realized I can't get holiday letters out before Christmas; I mailed Christmas cards today. (that's what is known as a semi-humorous semi-colon) I noted in several cards that I'll send a letter later -- la_rosamundi, Teresa who used to work for me, and R from linguistics -- they all depend on my holiday card to get news. Plus I could write a briefer note to cousin T in North Carolina, and carl who lives in DC.
I hope I can dig out my car on Saturday (snow may continue until suppertime), and that it gets warm enough for me to run my car Sunday afternoon - and maybe go to Lunds.
