"Personal Trainer." I thought you had to live in Kalifornia to have one of those. Apparently the laws on that have changed a bit.
Heart rate. Many years ago when I VERY physically fit, as opposed to now my startling resemblance to the Stay Puffed Marshmallow Man®, getting to and keeping at your target heart rate SUX! But you have to work like hell to get it up there. BUT IF YOU ARE FEELING INTENSE PAIN --not just "muscle burn"--YOU'RE OVERDOING IT! Just starting, your workouts will leave you sore in places you didn't think could get sore. That's good--but not to the point of where you can't move or you die. It is good to wear a watch to count keep track of your heart rate. It also helps in situations such as "Oh, I am hyperventilating and it's 10:30" or "Im going to die and be late."
Last Point--Get the chest pains checked out. PROBABLY it is a peptic ulcer (if you have type O blood you are especially susceptible to getting them). Nevertheless, please get looked into ASAP. Dying would defiantly mess up your weekly planner. Please see a doctor.
