the non-step mother and randomness
David's gf is not in any kind of "parental role" except lately by default because he's so incapable of setting limits and making rules. She just called to talk to me about Soren and it was very uncomfortable. one, because she wasn't capable of talking to Soren herself about something not that big of a deal. two, because David didn't call me himself. three, because I just don't want to have to pick up the ball for her because she's not even trying to act like even a step-mother. I mean, I know she cares about them, but I also know she sees it as a temporary (10 ) year inconvenience on her part.
In other news, a guardian angel has stepped in to help us a bit with our financial difficulties, allowing me to pay off one of my credit cards. I won't say any names, but she knows who she is. Despite the frustrations of being poor, I am so blessed with good friends who are willing to go way out on a limb for us.
Oh, and hey, Jude pooped on the potty yesterday for the first time!
ION, I have a bad head cold and it's really, really annoying. But I got my second paper done and turned in and have only paper left to do by Friday. Woohoo! Then I have a 3 week break before the next semester starts.
I also am making a lot of spiritual progress and am feeling generally balanced, calmer and parenting better than I have in years.
And Lucy just pooped and figured out how to totally take a pen apart, so I must run!
