Deep Ponder on Smallville: Hex.
Now this is MY Smallville. I liked all the characters. They were all interesting and doing interesting things. The plot made sense and moved along quite nicely. What was there for me to sneer at ? Nothing!
And the use of the Phone Booths in this episode!
Clark stands in front of a phone booth while a mugging goes on in front of Chloe/Lois and him.
"Do something, Clark!" cries Chloe/Lois.
Clark puts on his Superman face and squares up his linebacker shoulders...and calls 911.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! The dog whimpered and hid under the bed (I have a braying kind of laugh).
Mr. Welling is like Paul Rudd, a pretty boy who is willing to make a fool of himself and do comedy right.
My only qualm---Chloe dies or almost dies yet again. Chloe has been dying or almost dying in every episode since Lana de-graced Smallville. It's getting to be creepy. I am unspoiled, but Chloe usually dies just once a season on Smallville and this is becoming a South Park routine of "Those Bastards Killed Kenny!". I am uneasy.
And now, Miss Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimi for our musical interlude:
