I don't remember having these before. They're so red. If they were black, then I'd know for sure if they were mine but... I don't know why someone else's shoes would be in the apartment. Except for a curse. They look harmless. They feel harmless too. I'll wait to see for sure. Other people found shoes too.

I didn't have friends before I came here. ...like a lot of other things. I never thought of losing them. It's hard not to when you've never had something to begin with. It didn't happen for long this time. People shouldn't be lonely, that's why we make friends and have families. Right?

I wanted to ask this earlier but I didn't think it'd be right with all of the commotion going on about the sheep... Why do people count them to get to sleep? There are more insects than mammals.
