I wish I could forget what it was like to be sick. To forget what it was like to believe that I wasn't likely going to live to see forty, maybe not even eighteen and stay alone, waiting for a cure. The City won't let me forget with it's stupid curses. It was like when Graverobber was taking me home from--wherever that was in Sanitarium Square. I had my medicine and my wrist-com was programmed to my blood pressure with the reminders. And I listened to them too. That awful taste.... I don't think any more of my hair fell out because of just one day's worth. My stomach feels like it's been twisted in a knot since the day after the curse. That wasn't a good day either. I don't have a fever anymore. It's gone now. What if taking it just for that day will make me sick all over again, this time it won't be for pretend? It doesn't hurt anymore. That's good. Right?
I'm not the only person getting the bad ends of curses. There was one that made people violent. Shalimar hurt people close to her unintentionally and a lady took it into her own hands to fight back. That lady is in trouble with the cops. I used to think that there were just good people and bad people you were meant to stay away from. It's not that easy to see who is who. Does hurting other people make someone a bad person if they don't mean it? The craziest stuff happens when there's no other choice. I don't think that makes them monsters. I don't make friends with monsters. Monsters don't feel. They don't care. That's how I know that Dad isn't a monster. Justin either. And Graverobber...he's just Graverobber. He's never hurt anyone living.
Justin got me the best bug I can think of. Phylliidae are way more interesting and interactive that beetles. I know he said that it was just because and that I don't need to get him anything, I don't think it's entirely fair to him. It's not my birthday yet. Or any holiday. I told him that I'd help make happy memories, because he doesn't have an interest in things.

I want everyone to meet Phil the Phylliidae. Justin gave him to me.
See? Wait. he's hiding in that one.
Here's a good picture.
...did someone leave their bear laying around? I found it in the hallway.
